What does Vayu Spa do to minimize the spread of Covid?

We have HEPA filters running in each room at Vayu Spa.  All equipment is thoroughly changed, cleaned, and/or sanitized between each use.  Guests are required to wear masks in common areas.  Vayu Spa therapists are required to wear masks at all times, in common areas and in massage rooms.  Guests are not required to wear masks during treatments but certainly may do so, if preferred.  

How far in advance should I book my appointment at Vayu Spa?

To ensure you receive the treatment(s) you want at the time you desire, advanced booking is recommended.  The earlier you reserve, the more options you will have.  We will do our best to accept day of requests so do not hesitate to book a same-day service when the need arises. We do not accept walk-in clients so book an appointment online, email us at unwind@vayuspa.com, or give us a call.

Should I call or book online?

For convenience, we encourage online booking.  If you have a specific request or are booking for multiple people, your request may be more easily fulfilled if you email or call.  We make every effort to accommodate all requests.  Please email us at unwind@vayuspa.com for booking of Vayu Spa for parties. 

How do I know which treatment to schedule?

In general, please select the massage that most fits your treatment goal.  Choose the amount of time you would like and then you can talk to your therapist before your session about customization of massage.  All of our massages are customized for individual needs.  

Can I receive massage while I'm pregnant?

We do offer Pre and Post-Natal massage.  We reserve the Pre-Natal massage for individuals in the second or third trimesters.  For the safety of newly pregnant individuals, we do not perform massage in the first trimester.  Post-Natal massage can be performed as soon as one feels comfortable to return after pregnancy

What time should I arrive for my treatment at Vayu Spa?​

We recommend that guests of Vayu Spa arrive approximately 5 minutes before the treatment session is to begin.  

What happens if I arrive late?

Please make every effort to arrive on time so that the experience can be more enjoyable for you.  If you happen to be running late, please call to inform us of your late arrival.  Your session will still end at the originally scheduled time to accommodate the next guest.  You remain responsible for the full treatment cost.  

What is the cancellation policy?

We accept cancellations up to 24 hours in advance at no charge.  If you do not arrive for your scheduled appointment without contacting Vayu Spa, you will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.  

 

How shall I communicate with my therapist?

Please speak to your therapist before treatment about problem areas, areas of concern, and massage preferences.  Communications will be kept confidential between you and your therapist.  Your therapist will ask questions to gauge guest comfort throughout the session.  Feel free to communicate with your therapist as you wish...whether something feels good or bad, you are too hot or too cold, or the music is too loud.  We welcome feedback and find that you are happier when we work as a team.  

What is spa etiquette?

Please allow all spa guests to enjoy Vayu Spa in relative silence.  In order to provide a space for peaceful tranquility, please avoid use of cell phones, cameras and other electronic devices.  Please keep talk at a low level in public spaces.  Our massages and treatments are a professional service performed by highly trained therapists, please treat them with respect.  Your treatment session will end on-time in order to accommodate the next guest. 

How do I pay for my service?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, gift cards and ApplePay/Android Pay.  Treatment prices do not include gratuity.  Gratuity is at the discretion of the client.  Payments are taken after services are completed.  

Does Vayu Spa do group events or parties?

Yes! What better place to host a birthday/bachelorette/bridal/pre-wedding/work party than Vayu Spa! We can provide a custom treatments menu and event preparations.  Already have a party/event location? Can I bring my child/children with me?

Because we offer a quiet place for peace and relaxation, the presence of young children is not allowed.  In general, we do not perform massage treatments on individuals under the age of 14.  Children between the ages of 14 and 17 must be accompanied by a consenting adult.
